So many people allow themselves to get caught up in the notion that they fight their battles alone. They get lost, or feel hopeless and unsalvageable.

In Arena of War Jess shares her personal story of imperfection and perseverance through the battles of her own life. She reminds us as warriors of Christ to stand up and not let the enemy keep us knocked down. She encourages us to let the wounds of the past heal over and to let our scars be a reminder of what Christ has led us through.

We had both grown up in Christian homes and saved sex for marriage, but on our wedding night, a world of frustration awaited us. September 2013, we were both surprised and devastated to find that it seemed physically impossible for me to be sexually intimate. My body felt broken, and my soul felt crushed.
 
I struggled trying to find answers, and in the meantime, our struggle with sexual intimacy started affecting everything else – our relationship with each other, and our relationship with God. Our first year of marriage was rough, but we did find answers, and redemption to our love for one another and for Christ.
 
My story, Arena of War, begins at childhood bliss, brings you through my journey of purity through young adulthood and drops you into the mess of emotions I wrestled with early in my marriage. All the while, I share the battles of faith that I encountered every step of the way, and the God that never gave up on me throughout all my questionings.

In September 2013, I married my husband, Adam.

01. RIGHT BROTHER AVIATION

My husband, brother-in-law and I did a crazy thing and in 2017 we started a helicopter company. (They're both pilots). It's been a crazy ride, but we've been blessed to see the company grow faster than we could've ever hoped.  We're all employed full time for ourselves and hope to continue growing while we  chase that American dream. 

02. INSPIRED DESIGN PLUS

Before Right Brother Aviation, I'd birthed Inspired Design Plus – my graphic/web design company. I always knew I didn't want the usual office 9-5 day in and day out. Out of college I began the journey of slowly building up my own small business, and ever since I've loved fulfilling my passions of entrepreneurship and design all in one. 

03.  travel junkie

I have an addiction - traveling. Like I full blown feel a high when I step foot someplace new. I absolutely love exploring new places, and would rather go somewhere different than go back to the same place again, even if that last trip was awesome. Also? I'm a budget traveler, so chasing good deals is kinda my thing. Check out my travel blog if you're bored!

04. ADRENALINE ADDICT

Second confession. On top of travel, I am also an adrenaline addict. Skydiving, roller coasters, snowboarding...that's my jam. Combine that with traveling and I've got the recipe for total contentment. Perfect scenario? Standing on the edge of a cliff somewhere exotic, taking a leap 40ft down into crystal blue water. Been there, done that, and I intend to do it again!

05. INTROVERT

Okay so I wrote a book exposing my whole life, and I run businesses so I must be an extrovert right? Nope. I'm a full on introvert. As an INFJ,  I'm labeled as "super rare" and make up less than 1% of the world's population. However, though my happy place is being alone (with my husband), I'm not really shy. My friends would say I'm quiet with a super sarcastic, and surprising quick wit.

06.  salad + ice cream

I like healthy food. Unique salads, tofu, quinoa, fruit... guys I could live on fruit. BUT, I have a sweet tooth. If I could have healthy foods and top off each meal with something sweet I'd be in heaven! lol. BUT... I hate to cook. There I said it. I can eat something healthy and delicious but have no desire to cook it routinely for myself. *shrugs shoulders.* Personal chef. That would be ideal. That's  the dream.
